Neutrality has become an integral part of Turkmenistan's foreign policy and national identity. Over these 30 years, Turkmenistan has also established itself as a reliable partner, a conductor of dialogue, stability and sustainable development in the region and beyond. Turkmenistan's neutrality is not just a political position, it is a contribution to global peace and security.
A special briefing was also devoted to the results of the Third UN Conference on Developing Countries, during which the Ambassador of Turkmenistan announced all the events that took place at the LLDC3 site.
Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of holding the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in the year of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's acquisition of the status of Permanent Neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. During the days of the international Conference, Avaza became a center of solidarity and cooperation, and the events held here reflected the essence of the "International Year of Peace and Trust" proclaimed by the UN.
The main outcome of the Third UN Conference was the adoption of the Avaza Political Declaration, a far-sighted and action-oriented document that lays a solid foundation for joint work in the coming decade.
Director of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan D.Temenov noted in his speech that the First UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC) was held on August 28-29, 2003 in Almaty, following which the Almaty Program of Action was adopted.
Also at the briefing the Head of the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Kazakhstan K. Abdulganiyev made a speech. In his presentation he noted that the Third UN Conference in "Avaza" became an international platform where current problems and prospects for sustainable development of landlocked countries - LLDC3, as well as measures to strengthen their integration into the international trade and economic system were discussed.
At the same time, Turkmenistan’s initiative in promoting transport diplomacy and creating sustainable logistics solutions was particularly noted.
