Every year on November 21st, countries around the world celebrate World Television Day. This date was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1996 to draw attention to the important role television plays in society. Television is currently one of the most effective means of uniting the global community, disseminating information and fostering mutual understanding between people.
Emerging as a result of technological advances in the early 20th century, television quickly spread across the globe. Initially used as a means of disseminating news, television has since opened up enormous opportunities in education, culture, art and entertainment. Today, events occurring anywhere in the world are broadcast on television channels in a matter of seconds. Television is not only a means of information and entertainment, but also an important cultural platform influencing the development of society and the intellectual and spiritual development of individuals.
In our country, television plays a vital role in the development of culture and the popularization of the rich historical and spiritual heritage of our people. Currently, several national television channels successfully operate in our country, contributing to the development of science and education. Widely promotes national traditions, folklore, national sports and art. Television programs draw on the rich heritage of our people and play a vital role in the modern development of our country.
Television unites the world, shares news, brings cultures closer together, and serves as an international bridge towards peace and development.
