That is why UNESCO is widely recognized as an international platform that brings people together, preserves cultural values for future generations, and promotes new initiatives in science and education.
The organization also plays an important role in protecting cultural heritage in all corners of the world. World landmarks, ancient architectural monuments, and artistic forms recognized as the intangible heritage of humanity are included in special lists and are protected. UNESCO, in cooperation with countries, implements new projects to study, promote, and preserve this heritage for future generations. The aim of these projects is not only to preserve the heritage, but also to create conditions for strengthening mutual respect, understanding and cultural relations between peoples.
