UNESCO, established to support cultural development, scientific cooperation, and the development of education systems worldwide, is currently recognized as one of the most influential international organizations. Its main mission is to strengthen peace among nations, expand cultural exchanges, preserve heritage, and increase access to education. That is why UNESCO is widely recognized as an international platform that brings people together, preserves cultural values for future generations, and promotes new initiatives in science and education.
The organization also plays an important role in protecting cultural heritage in all corners of the world. World landmarks, ancient architectural monuments, and artistic forms recognized as the intangible heritage of humanity are included in special lists and are protected. UNESCO, in cooperation with countries, implements new projects to study, promote, and preserve this heritage for future generations. The aim of these projects is not only to preserve the heritage, but also to create conditions for strengthening mutual respect, understanding and cultural relations between peoples. In recent years, the organization has also paid special attention to the digitization system. Projects to digitize historical sources, written monuments and information related to folklore are being implemented in dozens of countries. Work on digital heritage allows for the preservation of values in a modern form and for researchers and young people to have wide access to this information.
Turkmenistan is also actively developing cooperation with UNESCO. Such works as the digital re-development of ancient written monuments of Turkmenistan, the inclusion art of Akhal-Teke horse breeding and traditions of horses' decorations and the culture of playing the dutar in the UNESCO lists are highly appreciated at the international level. This cooperation further enhances the prestige of our country in the world cultural space.
UNESCO is an international organization that strengthens friendship between nations, preserves cultural and spiritual values, and creates broad opportunities for educational and scientific development, making a significant contribution to the development of humanity. Its projects are becoming an important foundation for peace, mutual respect, and development in the world.
