Since July 15, a group of students and teachers of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas has been on an internship at the Petronas University of Technology in Malaysia.
The specialized training center of the Malaysian Technological University Petronas has developed a special educational program for representatives of the oil and gas university, designed for 2 weeks of study and 1 week of advanced training. According to the program plan, students and teachers of the Turkmen University attend classes in specialized areas dedicated to the development and application of new technologies in the oil and gas industry, the introduction of artificial intelligence, digital systems and tools into production.
The delegates from Turkmenistan get acquainted with the organization and the learning process at the Petronas Technological University, its laboratories, training centers, research activities, as well as the production facilities of a large oil and gas company.
Training and industrial practice at the Technological University Petronas is of great importance for oil and gas university students, contributing to the enrichment of their theoretical knowledge and the formation of professional skills. Advanced training courses for Turkmen teachers will help them to consistently implement world best practices in their teaching activities in the future.
Petronas Carigali Company (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd, the Malaysian Company's Technological University and the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas are successfully conducting mutually beneficial and fruitful partnership in the field of science and education for several years.
In 2024, the parties signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to continue this cooperation and further expand its scope. On the basis of the signed Memorandum, joint projects and scientific activities in the areas of oil and gas, geological research, chemical technologies,
digital economy, as well as renewable energy sources, green energy, and solving environmental problems related to climate change are being actively implemented.
In addition, joint educational events are provided on the basis of the document. Professors and teachers Petronas University of Technology regularly organizes events for students, young professionals and teachers of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University offers online courses and trainings on the introduction of innovative technologies and digital systems used in the oil and gas industry.
