Sports and education are interrelated concepts. The main pillar of the importance of sports in society is its educational power. Sports have a huge impact on the productive use of free time by young people, their moral improvement, spiritual strengthening, physical health, social activity, continuation of national education and search for their own path as an individual.
After all, they don’t just say “A healthy mind in a healthy body.” Sports teach youth to be purposeful, tolerant of defeats and to work hard for victory. Due to sports, young people develop such moral qualities as friendship, unity and respect. In team games, each player contributes not only to their own interests, but also to the team’s results. As a result, such educational principles as unity for a common goal and mutual assistance develop.
In the history of the Turkmen people, national sports contribute to the spiritual and physical development of young people, their formation as patriotic individuals. The combination of modern and national sports allows the younger generation to develop in accordance with the demands of the times, while preserving the national spirit and not breaking away from their roots.
