On September 4-5, 2025, the training «Application of best international practices to ensure sustainable energy transition and the development of renewable energy sources in Turkmenistan» was held at the UN Office in Ashgabat, organized jointly by UNDP and the UN Economic Commission for Europe. Representatives of various sectors, higher education institutions and public organizations took an active part in the training.
Along with foreign representatives, specialists implementing important projects in the energy sector of our country and responsible for the legislative system took part in the training. Speakers at the training noted international achievements in the field of renewable energy sources, the results achieved in our country in the development of such energy sources as solar and wind. The participants were also greatly impressed by the presentations on Turkmenistan’s Methane Commitments and current legislation in this area.
Following the two-day training the participants were awarded certificates.
