Translation, as a form of spiritual creativity, plays an important role in the relationships between people and their spiritual enrichment. The term “translation” means the expression of a text or speech from one language to another, the creation of a new form of this text or speech in the target language.
Translation, considered a means of international communication, originates in deep antiquity. The first translators, called “dragomons”, appeared in ancient Egypt in the III millennium BC and played an important role in the relations between Egyptians and Nubians.
Due to the translation, cultural and scientific achievements, enriching languages, become the spiritual heritage of other people. Translation introduces people to each other’s spiritual life and brings them closer. Mutually beneficial ideas, best practices and customs are conveyed through translation. The immense importance of translation in the dissemination of spiritual values is also confirmed by the translations of the remarkable works of our Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar into many languages of the world.
The translation of works of art, scientific, socio-political, historical and philosophical literature, the publication of bilingual and multilingual translation dictionaries, and the translation of various textbooks and manuals contribute to the development of literary language, the improvement of its lexical composition, and the activation of expressive and artistic means of language. Translation plays an important role in the history of individual people and in world culture as a whole. Since ancient times, it has attracted the attention of scholars, translators, writers and others. Various opinions and views on translation arose and scientific works appeared.
Translation is one of the oldest crafts that humanity has ever engaged in. However, the theory of translation is still a young science. Due to the art of translation, we have opportunity to study historically significant information. We can delve deep into history only because people speaking different languages understand each other through translation.
