In our country, it has become a good tradition to hold a month-long campaign under the motto “Road safety — peace of our life” during the first month of autumn. Following this tradition, the campaign was successfully launched in the early days of the golden autumn of the International Year of Peace and Trust.
These days, various awareness-raising and educational activities are being carried out among schoolchildren by the education department of etrap, and the traffic police department of Ak Bugday etrap Council of Ahal velayat of the Youth organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly.These activities add rich meaning and color to the campaign.
At the events entitled “Traffic light — our friend!”, organized with the participation of younger schoolchildren, children are taught the rules of crossing the road and the responsibilities of road users. They are reminded of the norms of road traffic and the proper way to cross the street where traffic lights are installed. Interactive question-and-answer sessions with children on traffic rules are also held.
Such meaningful activities are also organized in kindergartens. During these events, children perform short plays related to traffic rules, sing songs, and recite poems that explain the meanings of road signs. All of this further enriches the educational and awareness-raising work carried out within the framework of the campaign “Road safety — peace of our life”.
