TURKMEN FOLKLORE — AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR NATIONAL HERITAGE

Folklore is the foundation of national culture, a spiritual treasure created by the people over millennia and passed down from generation to generation. It embodies the history, life experience, worldview, labor and dreams of the people. Folk songs, epics, proverbs, sayings, fairy tales, poems, and the art of bahkshi, created since ancient times, are an integral part of the people's spiritual heritage. They extol such wonderful qualities of the Turkmen as courage, hard work, patriotism, and humanism.

In the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, extensive work is being carried out to study, preserve, and popularize Turkmen folklore. Under the wise leadership of our Esteemed President, various forms of Turkmen folklore are being revived and imbued with new impetus for the younger generation. Festivals, festive celebrations, and creative competitions combining Turkmen folklore strengthen the sense of national pride in the hearts of people.

Turkmen folklore is a legacy of the past and a source of spirituality, creativity, and inspiration in the present. It provides a spiritual connection between generations. Our duty is to study, teach, preserve, and pass on folklore to future generations. By preserving folklore, we preserve our national heritage and national spirit.
