The 21st century is the era of digital progress, advanced technologies, rapid information exchange, and an intellectual economy. In modern society, the role of digital technologies is steadily increasing. As a result, all countries around the world have embarked on the path of digitalization of their economies. Turkmenistan is also putting forward important initiatives in this direction.
The digital economy, in a broad sense, encompasses the development of public administration, banking, education, healthcare, industry, and agriculture based on digital systems.
Under the leadership of the Arkadagly Hero Serdar, Turkmenistan is successfully implementing the “State Programme for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2021-2025”. This program provides for the introduction of digital systems in all sectors of the economy, ensuring information security, expanding electronic services, and improving digital literacy among youth.
The digital economy affects not only the development of the state but also the daily life of every individual in society. For example, through e-commerce, people can purchase goods without leaving their homes, online educational resources allow people of all ages to enhance their knowledge, digital banking services promote cashless transactions. All of this contributes to improving living standards, saving time, and increasing economic activity.
