Our Independent state of Turkmenistan, conscientiously fulfilling the tasks arising from its legal status of permanent Neutrality, pursues a wise policy based on the principles of peace, equality and mutual benefit in the international arena.
Turkmenistan advocates the resolution of any issues arising in international and inter-state relations through diplomatic means—through negotiations. In this regard, our country offers instruments that are beneficial to each of the parties. Following principles consistent with the goals and objectives of the United Nations, in order to ensure international peace and security, within the framework of cooperation with international organisations and world states, Turkmenistan pursues a mutually beneficial policy to ensure a peaceful and tranquil life for its peoples.
Thanks to the efforts of our Esteemed President, Turkmenistan initiated the inclusion of a special item on the agenda of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly entitled "Neutrality for peace and security". During the meeting, our President proposed to consider a draft resolution entitled "The role and importance of the policy of neutrality in maintenance and strengthening of international peace, security and sustainable development process". Esteemed President also put forward an initiative to hold a World summit of the culture of peace and trust. All this shows that our efforts are aimed at involving more countries in promoting peace, harmony, and good relations on the planet, bringing peoples closer together and establishing dialogue based on mutual respect.
We wish good health to our Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who are tirelessly working to establish peace, harmony, and unity on the planet, and further success in their state endeavours.
