The «Shagadam» of Turkmenbashy footballers took an important step toward reaching the final of the 2025 Turkmenistan Cup, defeating «Ahal» 2-1 in the first semi-final match.
The game took place in the city of Turkmenbashy.
The team of honoured coach Ali Gurbani won thanks to goals from Azizbek Bekchanov (2nd minute) and Gurbanguly Garayev (86th). The visitors responded in the 27th minute with a precise strike from Nazar Tovakalov.
On the 26th of November, the opponents will meet again at the «Shagadam» stadium, but this time in the rescheduled match of the 19th round of the Turkmenistan Championship, in which both teams are competing for silver and bronze medals.
In another semi-final match of the 2025 Turkmenistan Cup, as already reported, «Arkadag» won away against «Ashgabat» – 3:1.
The return semi-final matches will take place on the 18th of December.
The final is scheduled to take place on the 27th of December in Ashgabat.
