Turkmenistan has earned a strong reputation on the international stage as peace-loving, benevolent, and consistent nation firmly committed to the principles of neutrality. A clear demonstration of this is the widespread international support for the constructive initiatives put forward by our country to promote global cooperation.
In the International Year of Peace and Trust, Turkmenistan continues its dynamic development. Our country is making great efforts to create new opportunities in all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation. Under current global conditions, Turkmenistan is increasingly becoming a platform for international dialogue and partnership. International meetings, forums, conferences, and exhibitions are regularly held in our country, and the number of countries expressing interest in participating in these events continues to grow.
One of such events — the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries — will soon take place in the Awaza National Tourist Zone. Turkmenistan is taking all necessary steps are to ensure that this international conference is held at the highest level. The event will create opportunities to strengthen international and regional economic cooperation among landlocked developing countries, improve transport and logistics infrastructure, and expand interregional and international trade links. Global developments highlight the urgent need to address these issues, making this conference especially timely and relevant.
We believe that this forum will serve as an important step towards finding effective solutions to these challenges.
