Recently, in the city of Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, the Central Asian Badminton Championship was held, where Turkmen athletes proudly earned the honorable third place, raising the State Flag of Turkmenistan high in the sky. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Esteemed President, comprehensive measures are being taken in our country to further develop the sports sector, enhance the international reputation of Turkmen sports, and actively engage young people in athletic activities.
As is known, from September 16 to 22, 2025, young Turkmen badminton players successfully participated in the Central Asian Badminton Championship held in Tashkent. The Turkmen team was represented by Gulshen Amanowa, a 12th-grade student of secondary school No.33 of the city of Ashgabat; Ewilina Yefremova and Anastasiya Kulikowa, both 8th-grade students of secondary school No.50 of the city of Ashgabat, and Bilal Saryyew, a 3rd-year student of the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute. The team achieved a well-deserved third place.
On behalf of the Ashgabat city Council of the Youth organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, the Turkmen athletes who performed successfully at this prestigious international tournament were presented with Certificates of Honor and memorable gifts.
