In the International Year of Peace and Trust, the Turkmen people, blessed with boundless happiness celebrate the 30th anniversary of their glorious Neutrality.
Our Permanent Neutrality further strengthens the global standing of our beloved Motherland as a nation committed to the principles of peace, good neighborliness, and humanism, placing mutually beneficial international and regional cooperation at the forefront of its policy.
Relying on the principles of positive neutrality, our country pursues an active foreign policy aimed at protecting the interests of the nations of the region and the world. At present, our neutral state attaches great importance to strengthening and expanding reliable relations with major and influential international organizations, including the United Nations, the European Union, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and many countries around the world.
Owing to the “open-door” policy pursued by our country under the wise leadership of our Esteemed President, our beloved Motherland is recognized as a state making a significant contribution to strengthening peace throughout the world. The establishment of the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia in our capital, Ashgabat, is a vivid example of the great trust and respect our country enjoys among the nations of the world.
Neutrality is a symbol of trust, peace, and confidence in the future that our people hold in their hearts. Our permanent Neutrality has ensured prosperity and peace, enabling our country to reach new heights as a center of reconciliation. In Turkmen diplomacy, Neutrality serves as a symbol of mutually beneficial cooperation, respect, and equality among states.
We express our deep gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for their noble deeds, which serve the nation and benefit all humankind.
