A ROBOTICS COMPETITION AMONG YOUNG ENTHUSIASTIC DESIGNERS WAS HELD IN ASHGABAT

A large-scale robotics technology competition was held at the International University of oil and gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev for young people passionate about modern science. Organised by the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, the competition attracted 300 enthusiasts from across the country.

Over the course of two days, participants demonstrated their knowledge in practical applications. The competition consisted of seven categories: «Robot sumo» (robot wrestling), «Robot cars», « Labyrinth», «Line follower», «Line follower mission», «Robot ship racing», and «Mission robot».

The demonstration stages in the «Mission robot» category proved particularly exciting and intense. In this competition, robots created by young designers had to overcome various obstacles and deliver a specified object to its starting point, which required a high level of programming and extreme precision.

Following the competition, the jury announced the winners. They were:

In the «Sumo robot» category: student of the Joint Turkmen-Russian comprehensive school named after A.S. Pushkin, a student of the robotics club of the 13th specialised secondary school with in-depth study of foreign languages of Ashgabat Alihan Akgayev;

In the «Robot cars» category: student of the 17th secondary school in Balkanabat, student of the «Kämil bilim» training centre Resul Kanalov;

In the «Labyrinth» category: student of the 129th secondary school of Ashgabat Davut Bashimov;

In the «Line follower» category: student of the 1st Specialised military school named after Berdimuhamet Annayev of the Ministry of defence of Turkmenistan Malik Annamyradov;

In the «Line follower mission» category: student of the 1st Specialised military school named after Berdimuhamet Annayev of the Ministry of defence of Turkmenistan Adylsha Mammettuvakov;

In the category «Robot-ship racing»: student of the 96th secondary school of Ashgabat Myrat Kakayev;

In the «Mission robot» nomination: A team of students from the International university of humanities and development, students of the «Kämil bilim» educational centre: Pirguly Ovezov, Nurahmet Kulov and Rovshen Hojageldiyev.

In the university assembly hall, the organisers ceremoniously presented the winners with valuable prizes and certificates of honour. At the same time, based on the results of the scientific competition, the best team was selected based on the votes cast and received a special prize a four-colour 3D-printer from the business entity «Ýüpekçi».
