PEACE: THE VOICE OF CHILDREN

Recently, in honor of the International Day of Neutrality, the city stage of the creative contest “Peace: The voice of children” was held among students of grades 4–12 of general education schools in Mary. The event was jointly organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the Board of the Peace Fund of Turkmenistan, the Central Council of the Youth organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, and the editorial office of the magazine "Güneş".

The main goal of the contest was to discover young talents, develop students’ creative abilities, promote the culture of peace and good neighborliness among youth, and foster a deep sense of pride in the Independent and permanently Neutral Homeland. The competition, held at secondary school No. 3 in Mary, brought together talented students who presented models, artworks, and essays praising the country’s development under the leadership of the Esteemed President, the principles of peace and friendship, the major reforms and achievements in the state, the accomplishments of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, the International Year of Peace and Trust, the happy life of the youth, and the creative spirit of the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state.

According to the fair evaluation of the jury: In the model-making category, first place went to Ogulshat Hojayeva, a 10th-grade student of secondary school No. 27, second place to Tirkish Tachmammedov, an 11th-grade student of the same school, and third place to Gulnur Mergenowa, a 9th-grade student of secondary school No. 5. In the drawing category, first place was awarded to Nuranay Palwanowa, a 10th-grade student of secondary school No. 5, second to Leyli Amansahedova, a 6th-grade student of the talented youth school No. 24, and third to Mahym Yakubova student of the same school. In the essay writing category, first place went to Mahriban Azadyyeva, an 11th-grade student of secondary school No. 7, second — to Mahri Gurbannazarowa, a 12th-grade student of the talented youth school No. 24, and third to Enejan Yazdurdyyeva, an 11th-grade student of the same school.

The talented young winners earned the right to participate in the velayat stage of the competition and were solemnly presented with certificates of honor and commemorative gifts by the Mary city Council of Mary velayat of the Youth organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly.
