The meeting held in Dashoguz, «Ýaşlar syýasaty-täze eýamyň ganaty, forum beýik geljegiň ak bagty», was intended to reveal to the young population the full significance of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which is to be held in August this year in the «Avaza» National Tourist Zone. It was organised by the Velayat Council of the Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly and the staff of the velayat library.
Speakers at the meeting noted that the forum is especially important because it is being held on the eve of the 30th nniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent Neutrality and in the year that has been declared the «International Year of Peace and Trust» in our country. The forum in «Avaza» will become another convincing evidence of Turkmenistan’s consistent cooperation with the UN in various areas aimed at maintaining peace, security, stability, sustainable development and will make a significant contribution to strengthening constructive and mutually beneficial international cooperation.
The conference will help landlocked developing countries find effective solutions and establish partnerships. It will include a number of events of various focus areas, including those dedicated to the role and importance of youth in developing new strategies, including stimulating economic growth, achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and others.
Members of the velayat, city, and etrap Councils of the Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly and employees of the velayat library participated in the meeting. Similar meetings dedicated to the upcoming Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in the «Avaza» National Tourist Zone are being held these days by other organisations and institutions in the country.
