The Turkmen delegation participated in the International Forum of Central Asian Educators, held from October 5 to 6 in the city of Nukus (Uzbekistan).
The event, held under the slogan "Educators of Central Asia: One Region, One Voice, One Strength!", was organized by the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the support of UNESCO and UNICEF.
The forum brought together representatives from the Ministries of Education of Central Asian countries — Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan — as well as a number of international organizations, education specialists from Azerbaijan and Turkiye, leading educators from the participating countries, and members of the wider public.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, leaders of the education systems of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and other Central Asian countries, along with representatives of international organizations, addressed the participants. Their speeches emphasized the significance of the forum, its role in strengthening regional cooperation in the field of education, and the importance of enhancing the professional level of educators. They spoke about the ongoing transformation of education systems in Central Asian countries and the need to expand international collaboration in this context.
During the forum, the representatives of the Turkmen delegation actively participated in thematic meetings, seminars, presentations of educational projects, and a rich cultural program alongside their international colleagues. Particular attention at the events was devoted to environmental education and upbringing based on modern technologies, the development and promotion of ecological awareness among youth, and the integration of interactive methods into this process. The importance and effectiveness of using digital technologies in education in general, as well as the study and development of advanced teaching methods, were also highlighted.
The International Forum of Central Asian Educators was aimed at strengthening educational partnerships between Central Asian countries, creating a platform for the exchange of experience among educators, and fostering the development of the regional education system.
The participation of Turkmenistan’s representatives in this forum greatly contributed to the study of advanced experiences, best global practices, and new initiatives in the field of education, and also marked another important step toward the development and expansion of international cooperation.
