On August 4, 2025, the Youth Forum commenced its work in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” within the framework of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3). The selected venue — the Avaza Sports Complex — served as a suitable platform for creative exchanges and fostering cooperation among youth.
This large-scale forum brought together young delegates from 32 countries, providing a space for experience sharing and the promotion of new initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The opening ceremony of the forum featured high-level speeches and was marked by a warm atmosphere. A significant highlight was the adoption of the Youth Declaration titled “Building a Bridge for the Future of Landlocked Developing Countries” which was jointly developed by the participants. This document reflects the vision of younger generations of a future based on peace, sustainable development, and collaboration. During the forum, winners of the “Landlinked” program were awarded and a special exhibition showcasing their achievements was opened. In addition, young entrepreneurs presented innovative ideas and solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
The forum promotes key areas of work such as establishing effective cooperation between UN structures, civil society, the private sector, and youth; expanding opportunities for the implementation of the Avaza Programme of Action and sharing innovative approaches for sustainable development.
The organization of this forum once again clearly demonstrated Turkmenistan’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation, expanding multilateral relations, and consistently supporting the development goals of landlocked developing countries.
