Representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan took part in International Summer School of Excellence in Teaching and Learning DARYA, which took place on the picturesque shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in Kyrgyzstan from 5 to 8 August.
The Summer School is one of the most important regional events for the improvement of vocational education in Central Asia.
The event, organized within the framework of the EU DARYA regional project, is aimed at developing education and strengthening human resources in Central Asian partner countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
During the four-day training, meaningful trainings were conducted for education professionals from Central Asian countries, which were combined with interactive sessions, group work, discussions, as well as the development of roadmaps for each participating country.
The summer school program included three main thematic areas: Policy development for vocational training centers; Teacher training; Innovative Pedagogical Methods and SCAFFOLD.
The main focus was on the concept of the "School of Professional Development". Strategic approaches in this area have been demonstrated using key tools such as SCAFFOLD (teaching methodology) and ISATCOVE (self-assessment and professional development system).
The seminar has become an effective platform for exploring best practices and issues related to teaching and learning. The work of the participants was characterized by high engagement, practical orientation and contributed to the strengthening of regional and international cooperation in the field of vocational education.
The participation of the Turkmen delegation in the DARYA summer School will greatly contribute to the further successful implementation of the tasks set as part of the ongoing work on the development and improvement of the vocational education system in Turkmenistan in accordance with international standards.
