The Turkmen State University named after Makhtumkuli invites representatives of the field of science and higher education to the IV International Chemistry Olympiad Turkmenistan and foreign countries to the International Scientific and Practical Conference and the IV International Chemistry Olympiad.
The Olympiad with the participation of university students will be held from October 15 to 17 in a full-time format in Ashgabat. The Olympiad will be held in one round in the form of individual competitions, in which participants will compete in categories A and B. Category A includes students studying in the specialty "Chemistry", as well as students of any specialty – students of the I-IV bachelor's and specialty courses. Category B will unite students who are not studying in the specialty "Chemistry".
No more than four students (bachelor's and specialist's degrees) and one team leader (4+1 format) can participate in one of the two categories from each university.
The tasks of the Olympiad will be prepared according to the university program in organic, physical, inorganic and analytical chemistry. The participants of category A will have to complete written tasks according to these sections of chemistry. Category B participants will be asked to take the test.
The winners of the Olympiad will be awarded diplomas and medals.
The Olympiad is held in order to identify talented and capable students, ensure their further intellectual development and professional growth, stimulate students' interest in studying science, as well as mutually beneficial exchange of scientific information and strengthen friendly relations between students and university teachers from around the world.
From October 15 to October 17, TSU named after Makhtumkuli also organizes the International Scientific and Practical conference "The role of innovative technologies in improving chemistry teaching methods" in a hybrid format.
Scientists, professors, teachers of universities and research institutes of Turkmenistan and foreign countries are invited to participate in it.
A general plenary session and two sections are planned to be held within the framework of the conference:
Section I: Innovative methods of teaching chemistry.
Section II: The role of innovative technologies in the development of chemical science.
Following the results of the conference, an electronic collection of abstracts of the forum is scheduled to be published.
Registration of participants of the Olympiad and conference will last until 1 October.
Those who wish to participate in the Olympiad must send an e-mail olimptsu@gmail.com an official letter from the university indicating the composition of the team, as well as a registration form and a personal leaflet for each participant.
To participate in the conference, you must provide an official letter from the university to the specified email address (in case of full-time participation), abstracts of the speech and its annotation, as well as the registration form and the participant's personal leaflet.
