THE THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ACHIEVEMENTS OF TURKMEN SCIENTISTS HAVE RECEIVED HIGH PRAISE FROM THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY

Scientific research in the field of human physiology by members of Turkmenistan's academic staff is consistently reaching a completely new, qualitative level, and their achievements have already earned recognition from the global scientific community.

Professor Hans-Christian Kunga, head of the Centre for Space Medicine and Extreme Phenomena at the Institute of Physiology at the «Charité» University Hospital in Berlin (FRG), stated this while speaking at the scientific conference «Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the era of the Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state».

The speaker focused his presentation on the impact of climate change on human health. As the professor noted, environmental transformation, particularly in Central Asia, is very noticeable, particularly in terms of rising air temperatures.

The human body is physiologically extremely sensitive to any changes. Maintaining a stable, normal internal body temperature is crucial. However, changes in external temperature and physical exertion can cause body temperature to rise, which can lead to «heat stress» and imbalances in the body, noted Hans-Christian Kunga.

Last year, representatives from the Berlin Centre held a course in Ashgabat titled «Human physiology in extreme conditions» for doctors, teachers, and students. They provided Turkmen colleagues with detailed insights into observations and related developments related to changing environmental conditions in the medical context.

«Following these courses, practical events were held, where our Turkmen colleagues, using their own research as a basis, presented their views and proposed a number of effective solutions for combating «heat stress». And here it is very important to emphasise the fact that the theoretical and practical achievements of Turkmen scientists have received very high praise from the international scientific community and have been adopted», – the German professor stated.

The scientist also noted that the opening and operation of the high-tech International scientific and clinical centre for physiology in Ashgabat, and the use of the latest technologies, will take scientific research by members of Turkmenistan's specialised academic staff in the field of physiology to a completely new level.

«We, for our part, are ready to discuss further scientific research and prospects for cooperation with our Turkmen friends», – the conference delegate assured.

In conclusion, Hans-Christian Kunga expressed gratitude to the Ministry of health and medical industry of Turkmenistan, as well as the International scientific and clinical centre of physiology for creating the wonderful opportunity to participate in the current dialogue with colleagues from different countries.

Hans-Christian Kunga expressed special gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for their support in organising such high-level events. The German professor also wished the Turkmen people well-being and success, and independent Turkmenistan sustainable development and prosperity.
