ROBOTIC SHIP COMPETITIONS HELD IN ASHGABAT

On the basis of the specialized secondary school No. 13 with in-depth study of foreign languages in the city of Ashgabat, competitions among young people in the management of robotic vessels were held. The competition, organized by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan jointly with the Main Department of Education of the city of Ashgabat and the private enterprise "Döwrebap maslahat", about 60 young enthusiasts from all over the country took part.

The competition was held in two directions: controlling boats along a straight trajectory in a pool while overcoming obstacles at speed, as well as collecting floating balls from the surface of the water and delivering them to a designated area.

Following a tense competition in the individual competition for the management of robotic vessels, first place was taken by a student of Ashgabat specialized secondary school No. 87 with advanced language studies, a student of the Turkmen-Indian Center for Information Technology Yasin Rahmanov. Second and third places were awarded to students of Ashgabat specialized secondary school No. 86 with advanced study of English, Chemistry and Biology Orazmuhammet Merdanov and Said Annaev.

In the team competition for collecting balls from the surface of the water, the first place was taken by a team consisting of students of the Turkmen-Indian Center for Information Technologies: Arslanhan Toyjanov, a student of secondary school No. 15 in Ashgabat, Sergey Apresyan and a student of the Joint Turkmen-Russian Secondary Comprehensive School named after A.S. Pushkin Alihan Akgaev.

2nd place was won by a team formed from students of the educational center “Kämil bilim" of the Balkanabat city: students of the Balkanabat specialized secondary school No. 21 with advanced study of natural sciences Eldar Hajylyev and Tanryberdi Gurbanov, as well as a student of the Balkanabat specialized secondary school No. 22 with advanced study of English, Physics and Mathematics, Hajyly Hajylyev.

The 3rd place was taken by the team of students of the Turkmen-Indian Center for Information Technologies: student of Ashgabat secondary school No. 18 Ayhan Garyagdyev, a student of Ashgabat specialized secondary school No. 86 with advanced study of English, Chemistry and Biology Yhlas Nurmuhammedov and a student of Ashgabat specialized secondary school No. 135 with advanced study of English, Yusup Geldiev.

"This competition is aimed at identifying talented young people interested in robotics. In one of its stages, speed is important, in another — accuracy. Here, students were able not only to compete with each other, but also to demonstrate how they improve their skills during the summer holidays, as well as exchange experiences with their peers," said the chief judge of the competition, Ysmayyl Hakimov.

The winners were ceremoniously presented with prizes by the event organizers.
