Today, rich cultural heritage of the turkmen people is becoming an integral part of world culture today. In this regard, mutually beneficial cooperation with the United Nations is of particular importance.
When we talk about turkmen culture, we, first of all, remember the beauty of a turkmen house, decorated with exquisite carpets, magnificent national costumes with embroidery, Akhal-Teke horses dressed up with beautiful jewellery, Alabai, known for its fearlessness, and the dutar, mesmerizing with its gentle sound. All the values that make up the richest treasury of our cultural heritage left to us by our ancestors cannot be enumerated. From this point of view, the restoration, preservation, study and dissemination of our national cultural heritage is today an important task facing generations.
Deeply meaningful performances, modern films, musical dances, regularly organised cultural events and competitions, creative festivals and exhibitions help the turkmen and world audience to penetrate deeper into the multifaceted meaning and essence of turkmen culture and spiritual beauty it generates.
