The high sporting achievements achieved by Independent, permanently Neutral Turkmenistan today are a proud fact demonstrating the triumph of our country’s sports diplomacy in all aspects.
Turkmenistan’s sports diplomacy is a direction that unites the country’s activities in the sphere of domestic and foreign policy and international relations. It includes dozens of noble goals and directions, such as introduction of a healthy lifestyle in the society, involvement of the population, especially the young generation, in mass physical culture and sports, the continuous improvement of the material and technical base of physical culture and sports, turning the country into a platform for holding major international sports competitions.
The holding of major international sports competitions, tournaments, championships and cups in our capital, the city of Arkadag, the National Tourist Zone “Avaza”, as well as at sports facilities built and commissioned in our cities, regularly attracts the attention of the world sports community. This is a vivid evidence of Turkmenistan's unwavering openness to the countries of the world and authoritative international organizations, its unbreakable friendship. These visible signs are a confident step towards mutual friendship and brotherhood of the world’s youth through sports and, ultimately, towards the establishment of peace, harmony, unity and solidarity on the planet.
