TURKMENISTAN — THE HOMELAND OF PEACE AND TRUST

The designation of 2025 as the «International Year of Peace and Trust» by the United Nations General Assembly, on the initiative of Turkmenistan, has become a highly significant event for the global community. During this year, important milestones have been achieved in international relations, political and diplomatic spheres, and public life.

Peace and trust are among the greatest values in human history. Thanks to its status of permanent neutrality, international initiatives, and broad cooperation on the world stage, Turkmenistan is recognized as the Homeland of peace and trust.

The Turkmen people have long been characterized by goodwill, peacefulness, humanitarianism, and strong traditions, which form the foundation of our state’s foreign policy based on positive neutrality. Significant successes in implementing our foreign policy strategy, developing international cooperation, and finding constructive solutions to global challenges have received wide support from the international community.

On December 12, 1995, the United Nations officially recognized Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, marking an important milestone in the country’s history and on the international stage. This status became a fundamental pillar of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, enabling the country to build equal, peaceful, and trust-based relations with all countries.

Today, Turkmenistan is recognized as a country that actively implements the principles of peace, trust, and cooperation in practice. The international initiatives of our state gain broad support among countries worldwide and play a significant role in the global political arena.
